Art Nouveau Jewellery (180 – 1915)

  • A petit Art Nouveau 9ct gold locket. This beautiful locket has been engraved with a nature scene, depicting a bird in flight surrounded by a floral border and finished with scroll motifs to the top. Size: 31mm x 27mm, weight: 2.5g. Period: Art Nouveau Jewellery ( 1890 – 1901 ).
  • A romantic Art Nouveau Pendant. A beautifully detailed Limoges enamel on copper depicting a young woman in profile. Which has been mounted in a 9ct gold frame with a twisted rope border. This wonderful enamel pendant is signed Limoges by Lespous. Size: 21mm x 37mm, weight: 4.9g. Period: Art Nouveau Jewellery ( 1890 – 1901 ).
  • A meticulously crafted Art Nouveau bird brooch. Made from rich 15ct yellow gold, a small bird is perched on a branch is framed inside a wishbone.  This brooch is fitted with a safety chain and contains hallmarks for Chester 1890.   • An impressive Art Nouveau sterling silver brooch. This hand-made brooch depicts the profile of a young woman wearing a flamboyant hat, decorated with roses and foliage. The safety pin to the rear has been mounted at an angle that allows an uninterrupted view. A lovely brooch which is very representative of its period. Made in Birmingham, circa 1900.   • A precisely crafted Art Nouveau tie pin, depicting a flower. The flower head is raised and made from rose and yellow gold, which creates a subtle contrast.   • A stylish Art Nouveau pendant. A central oval-cut peridot gemstone weighing 1.20ct has been set in 9ct yellow gold and is surrounded by foliate scrollwork. Which is finished with an oval-cut peridot drop weighing 55 points. A beautiful example of Art Nouveau design. Size 45 x 30mm, weight 2.8g. Period: Art Nouveau Jewellery ( 1890 – 1901 ).
  • A decorative Art Nouveau moonstone ring. A large and impressive cabochon moonstone weighing 6.87ct has been set in silver using a rub over setting. Moonstone was a very popular gemstone during the Art Nouveau period and grey moonstones such as this one were called "New Moon Stones". The shoulders of this ring are elaborately decorated with floral motifs of flowers and leaves. A fine example of Art Nouveau style and design.
