A meticulously crafted Edwardian split pearl brooch. This rich 15ct yellow gold bar brooch features a bow as the central motif. At the centre of the bow is fixed a single seed pearl, which is surrounded by graduated split-seed pearls. These graduated split seed pearls also extend the full length of the brooch which culminates in two cylindrical finals, topped with split pearls. A pair of genuine Victorian garnet earrings. Two very well matched oval cut garnet gemstones with a combined weight of 1.60ct, set in rich 9ct yellow gold. Garnets derived their name from the Latin word "granatum" which means pomegranate and was believed to represent primordial fire. An elegant Edwardian cameo brooch. This beautiful cameo has been carved from a single Cornelian shell. These shells have a white marble like layer and a darker layer, typically brown. Allowing a master carver to create this image of a beautiful lady in fine detail with a contrasting background. On the back of the cameo a natural discrepancy can be seen and also felt, which authenticates this cornelian shell.
