The basket and rope twist handle is made from rich 14ct yellow gold, with the basket being studded with nineteen round cut diamonds, which sparkle beautifully. The basket is filled with a profusion of diamond, sapphire and ruby flowers. Together with emerald leafs and diamond buds. An intricate Art Deco butterfly wing necklace. This beautiful scene of a beach with golden sands and a palm tree was made using iridescent butterfly wings. It was made by using a technique called reverse painting, where the butterfly wings were placed onto the back of the glass and then mounted in sterling silver. Which is finished off with a decorative border and a flower bail. This exquisite pendant is suspended from its original sterling silver Singapore chain. The necklace was manufactured and signed by Thomas Mott (TLM) circa the 1920s. A beautiful piece of history, which has become very collectible. Size: 40mm x 18mm, weight: 6.6g. Chain length : 45cm. A very pretty aventurine swirl necklace. These shimmering glass beads were made by a Venetian artist, who mixed crushed aventurine gemstone dust with molten glass. The necklace chain is made of fetter links with small faceted amber glass pieces intermittently spaced. Which gives a further depth to this gorgeous necklace.
