  • An intricate 9ct gold and silver tortoiseshell pique cross pendant. Pique is a technique in which gold and silver are inlaid into tortoiseshell. Pique jewellery became very popular in Victorian times with large amounts being produced in Birmingham in the 1870s, made possible due to advances in production techniques.   • A pretty rolled gold oval locket. Decorated on both sides with foliate designs that are finished with a fine milgrain border. This locket holds two pictures and is suspended from a 9ct gold flat cable link chain. Rolled gold is made by mechanically bonding a thin sheet of gold to copper and was popular during the 1930s.   • A skillfully carved cameo pendant. Made from lava stone, this beautiful cameo depicts a lady in profile with foliate hair decoration. It is mounted in a 9ct gold frame and suspended from a 9ct gold flat cable link chain, measuring 22" / 56mm in length. The bail on this cameo is hallmarked "star 1 AR", which stands for manufactured by UnoAErre in the Arezzo area of Italy pre-1934. A fine example of Italian craftsmanship. Pendant size: 35mm x 23mm.
