  • A petite Art Deco rhinestone brooch. An oval-shaped brooch containing two rows of beautiful rhinestones, a clear rhinestone outer row and a sapphire blue rhinestone inner row. These rhinestones are all securely mounted in a closed-back gold tone setting. An original and very well-made piece of vintage costume jewellery. Size: 25mm x 20mm, weight: 3.8g.   • A sparkling 1960s rhinestone brooch. Beautiful concentric circles of rhinestones, starting with a royal blue outer circle which moves to a sky blue middle circle and then to a pale blue inner circle. Finished with a single royal blue rhinestone at the centre. These rhinestones are set in a closed-back gold tone setting and have been signed by Sphinx.   • An original Victorian brooch. A crescent moon studded with clear graduated rhinestones in a gold-tone setting. The pin on this brooch extends beyond the brooch itself, this was a security measure and is a characteristic of Victorian jewellery. A rare piece of antique costume jewellery.   • A meticulously crafted Victorian Micro Mosaic brooch. Made by the Italian artist Fabbrica Angelo Pessar, who was renowned for his beautiful micro mosaics.   • A very pretty Victorian silver daisy brooch, inspired by the Japanese arts of shakudo and shibuichi.   • A pretty Victorian clover brooch. Three saphiret glass hemispheres have been set in a closed back gold-tone setting, with a single rhinestone in the centre. Saphiret glass is made by adding gold to sapphire coloured glass and was produced in Gablonz, Czechoslovakia during the 19th century.  A well-made and rare piece of antique costume jewellery.   • A unique and rare Art Deco Flower Brooch. Two delicate and intricate roses have been hand-carved from celluloid. These pale yellow roses are fixed to a marcasite studded sterling silver stem.   • A bright Victorian pinchbeck Citrine Brooch. An oval cut Citrine gemstone weighing 25ct has been set in pinchbeck. Pinchbeck is an alloy of copper and zinc and was invented in the 18th Century to resemble gold. This large Citrine has excellent colour saturation and clarity, allowing it to catch the light beautifully. Size: 32mm x 28mm, weight:11.6g. Period: Victorian ( 1837 – 1901 ).   • A beautiful 1930s Trifari brooch. A gold-plated spray brooch, studded with clear rhinestones individually mounted in a closed-back rub-over setting. Each rhinestone frond features a twisted rope finish, which adds texture as well as extra sparkle to the piece. These rhinestone fronds alternate with metallic blue fronds, creating a gorgeous combination of depth and sparkle. This brooch is signed Trifari and is an original piece of vintage costume jewellery.   • A highly decorative Victorian tortoiseshell pique brooch. Pique was a technique that used gold and silver to inlaid a decorative pattern. It was first introduced in Italy during the 1600s but reached its heyday in the mid-1800s. The front of this tortoiseshell brooch is in perfect condition. However, there is a chip to the rim at the back of this brooch as can be seen in the photo. This chip cannot be seen from the front of the brooch when worn, however, there is a small crack visible.   • A petite Peridot and Seed Pearl brooch. This bright and lively oval cut Peridot weighing 1.07ct has been set in 9ct yellow gold, with a fine milgrain border. Set out from the gemstone on four points are Seed Pearls, which in turn are surrounded by bands of gold. An elegant yet understated antique brooch. Size: 23mm x 21mm, weight: 2.3g.
