A decorative Art Nouveau moonstone ring. A large and impressive cabochon moonstone weighing 6.87ct has been set in silver using a rub-over setting. Moonstone was a very popular gemstone during the Art Nouveau period and grey moonstones such as this one were called “New Moon Stones”. The shoulders of this ring are elaborately decorated with floral motifs of flowers and leaves. A fine example of Art Nouveau style and design.
