  • An intricate 9ct gold and silver tortoiseshell pique cross pendant. Pique is a technique in which gold and silver are inlaid into tortoiseshell. Pique jewellery became very popular in Victorian times with large amounts being produced in Birmingham in the 1870s, made possible due to advances in production techniques.
